MLS EARTHview™ knows explicitly the home buyer’s
preference, or more correctly stated, their antipathy,
of Lead Capture Forms; andAbsolutely, we recognize the Agents need for capturing leads from their website; and Yes, the home search is a wonderful place to do so. MLS EARTHview™ provides a few different lead capture forms that create the win-win scenario for the Agent and the User. MLS EARTHview™ has thoroughly considered the User viewpoints and the facts about lead capture with specific regard to the IDX Application. The MLS EARTHview™ “Soft Lead Capture” forms may return less total results, but they actually deliver a much higher quality of lead. What a lot of other IDX providers either don’t fully understand, or (maybe don’t really) care about, is the User perspective with regards to their obtrusive “gateway” forms. One of the greatest rewards of searching online for anything, right behind the convenience of the always open Internet, is our anonymity. Great care must be taken to effectively capture leads. First and foremost, and it cannot be stressed enough, it is the quality of the leads that count, not the total amount. If your lead capture form is the first thing a user sees when going to your home search, two things will consistently happen: one, the User will exit your website and will most likely never come back, or two, the User will provide bogus information. Determining which is the worse of those two must be hard… Is it worse to know that you have definitely missed out on a prospect, probably alienating them from your website forever, or that you have taken time out of your busy schedule and tied up valuable resources chasing a bad lead that may not be as direct as Mickey Mouse or abc@123.com? Secondly, its important to understand that users who continually visit and utilize the same website develop more than just a surface level trust, they actually hold it in high regard, and in time, become more interactive and much more willing to divulge personal information. The MLS EARTHview™ “Soft Lead Capture” forms are not designed as “gateway” forms but are actually more like a digital customer service liaison. At your predetermined intervals, such as after the User has viewed 3 or 5 property details, our “Soft Lead Capture” form opens and asks the User if they would like to contact the agent, have the agent contact them, or if they would like to receive email updates regarding their search, etc. Nothing is forced, unless you ask us to implement a “gateway” form. |
